Free Medial Camp - April 2009 |
|
Free Medical Camp was conducted successfully concluded
on June 16, 2009.
The one day camp was set up in our neighbouring Choii
Village and inhabitants of three nearby villages
“Mallot, Varala and Choii” greatly benefited from it and
a shuttle
service was provided for Mallot villagers. Throughout
the day two
male doctors, a lady doctor with three nursing staff
examined some 434 (288 female and 146 male) patients,
who were also given free of charge medicines.
This
medical camp on one hand took us a step further in
fulfilling our social responsibilities towards the
community, and at the same time it provided much needed
medical care to hundreds of very poor and needy
villagers who are otherwise lacking the facility of even
a Basic Health unit.
Representatives
of these villages conveyed their appreciation and
gratitude to the management and staff of Lafarge
Pakistan for organizing such an event. The local
authorities in their message have also appreciated this
gesture of goodwill. |
